THANK YOU
Fiber Godmother, you are the AWESOMEST. I’m late to pick up my daughter, but a post will follow later! Thank you so much!

I got a great package from my FiberGodmother yesterday! She pegged me pretty well!
She made up the pattern for the bath puff, which looks like it’s knitted in… I’m going to say Araucania Naure Cotton? and is quite nice. And coincidentally, I had just lost yet another tape measure, so that was a timely gift as well. I really do like everything I got, as you can tell from the abundant exclamation points!
Yeah, that’s right. I’m gonna be stylin’ in my tricked out Tvinimobile. Uh-huh. You know you wish you were me.
I’m really happy with everything I got, and while my Fiber Godmother said she worried I might know who she was, believe me, I’m not going looking to try to guess. It’s all a total surprise to me. 🙂
Thank you, Fiber Godmother!
I got a nifty card from my Fiber Godmother yesterday. She made it herself, the crafty thing!
Lookit! she stitched the fabric to the card! Clever, eh?
Thanks, Fiber Godmother! I’m psyched!

Cut because you won’t care if you’re not participating in Fiber Godmother.
My Secret Pal sent one more package, which was very sweet of her. This one contained black cherry and CARAMEL TimTams, as well as a very nice assortment of handmade earrings. I’m wearing the black ones with silver hooks right now.
Thank you, Secret Pal! As always, you rock!
P.S. – it’s because of you that I’m being extra super special nice to my Aussie Jayne hat customer, after he inadvertently FELTED his hat while trying to get it to shrink. So see, you’re like an ambassador to the Northern hemisphere!
My Secret Pal rocks out!
Unfortunately, I can’t show you exactly how much she rocks, because the husband took the digital camera with him out of town. I am going to try very, very hard not to spoil this package until he gets back tomorrow night!
Great package, pal!
I guess the antidote to “I”m having an awful time of it” is “but I have people around me who care.”
The friend I visited in Maryland just sent me a little care package. She said she was feeling bad because I was so obviously tired, yet they dragged me all around Annapolis, and she was sorry she tried to pack so much into the trip. Honest to God, I was happy as long as I was with our friends, but it was a very sweet thought.
While we were in Annapolis, I admired a pair of earrings. My friend noted it wasn’t my usual style (aka, minimal to none) and I agreed, and said I didn’t know what it was about them, I just really liked them. We moved along.
Well, apparently she went back and bought the earrings as a “thank you for letting us drag you all over” even though it wasn’t necessary. I don’t know if she slipped away when I wasn’t looking, or if she bundled up her kids and drove across the Bay bridge and went through 20 kinds of crap to get them, but either way, it was a very sweet gesture.
And here they be on. I really do own more than just that one shirt, honest.
I’m lucky to have people like this around me.
After she commented in the
So how did she respond? Why, she said, “I’ve been wanting to do something to thank you for posting up the Jayne pattern, but didn’t know what. Now I do!” and she bought me the pattern! I ask you, is that thoughtful or what? I’m really excited about it, and can picture myself working on it in the cold winter months in a ski lodge by a crackling fire.
All right, I don’t ski, and we don’t have a fireplace. But substitute “Law and Order” and “hot cocoa” and it’s just as good! I’m totally psyched about this. Thanks so much,
My Secret Pal sent me another package! This one actually arrived late last week, and I’ve just been remiss in taking photos and thanking her. Bad, bad Tvini!
That’s a lovely card with lovely sentiments expressed inside. Is this handmade? That’s one crafty area where my skills are zero.
One copy of “At Knit’s End: Meditations For Women Who Knit Too Much.” Which, let’s face it. That’s me.
One container of cucumber melon hand wipes from Bath and one tube of “juniper breeze” hand lotion, both from Bath and Body Works. I so seldom to get to the mall, and when I do, I always go in there and kind of wistfully sigh. “No, I don’t really need that. I should go buy the sensible thing for my kid I’m here for.” I always look back at the store when I leave, though. These smell great, my secret pal did a great job in picking out a nice clean scent. These make me smile.
I am so happy with everything I’ve gotten. Now I have to get off my tuchus and actually mail out my giftee’s second package. Time’s running short.
Thanks again, Secret Pal!
My mom got me a Where’s George stamp! I’m so excited! I’m going to stamp all the money in the house.
Thanks, Mom!
