Brownie recipe

This one’s pretty easy, and you don’t get too many dishes dirty. I like it because I always have cocoa powder around the house, since I like to make hot cocoa from scratch whenever snow’s in the forecast.

BODACIOUS BROWNIES

1/2 cup butter or margarine (whatever it is, it should be solid, not in a tub.)
1 cup white sugar
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 t baking powder
1/4 t salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 8×8″ baking pan.

Combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

Melt butter in saucepan. Remove from heat, stir in sugar and cocoa. Beat in eggs, 1 at a time, then stir in vanilla.

Stir dry ingredients into chocolate mixture until just blended. (This may be a workout for your arm!) Spread into pan.

Bake for 25 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool in pan, preferably on wire rack.

Eat!

I have no cocoa powder in the house. The last of it got used for hot chocolate post-blizzard.

    You so suck.
