I was updating my “who gets the next hat” spreadsheet today and realized that I passed a milestone last last month without even noticing it.
I have now sold more than 1000 Jayne hats and kits. WOOOOOO!!!

That’s awesome! How long has the store been up? How long have you been selling Jayne hats? I’m a stats nut. I want to know how many hats per day/week/month you’ve made!

Heh. Some of those are kits – I’ve got them all lumped in together instead of separated out. By my spreadsheet, the first order is Jan 2005. It started out slowly, then picked up speed by July. Orders are greater in winter and fewer in summer, as one might expect. It gets busy around October but stays busy through February as people who wanted one for Christmas but didn’t get one then order them for themselves.
It’s not right at a thousand right now – I’d say probably 1,035. You do the math, I gotta go knit. 🙂

I have to admit I’m terribly curious to know how many of those hats you have actually knitted. Because it makes my brain boggle and my fingers cramp just thinking about it!
