Local yarn sale

If you’re going to be in Charlotte on Saturday or Sunday, stop by Charlotte Yarn. They’re having a big anniversary do including a de-stashing swap/sale, where folks will be bringing stuff from their stashes to trade or sell. I myself will be there on Saturday with ungodly amounts of nice yarn at craaaaaaaazy low prices. Buy early, buy often!

In other news, the wrist and knuckles on my right hand hurt, so as much as it pains me today (so to speak) no knitting and minimal typing. Wah!

Knit and type. And garden – Em wants to plant sunflowers, and there were too many weeds for her little hands to pull out, so I cleaned out a bed barehanded. I formed and popped a blister before I even realized it, which is probably a sign that I got carried away.

It’s a hand-dyed mohair boucle that I got off of eBay several years ago. It’s got some really good yardage, but I can’t remember what – 450? 520? It’s really, really pretty and I have nothing to use it for.

As you may have surmised, I’ll let it go cheap.

Ooooh. I like very much. Can we work out a deal? . . . *eyes other yarn* and is that Noro I spy?

Yeah. I’ve got a lot of Kureyon, Silk Garden, Iro, some Transitions, but I’m probably not going to bring much of my Noro to the sale since the shop is running a Noro sale and I don’t want to undercut them. They’re good people.

I want to post pictures of my yarn at some point with an eye toward a big sale. I’ll call it, “The Stash That Launched A Thousand WIPs.”

    Badum *CHING!*

Bwah. Now that is a sale I’d look forward to!

Would you be willing to sell me the mohair boucle? I totally understand if you’d rather sell it at your store sale, I’m just really craving it and thought I’d ask 😉

Sure. How does $3 plus $3 shipping sound? My goal here isn’t so much to make money as it is to clean house a bit. 🙂

But it’s so nice! I would feel a bit guilty paying so little for it. Can I paypal you $10+shipping?

I’m sure I’ll love it! I’ve been wanting to work with a loop/boucle mohair. It seems like it would make a nice cushy fabric. I’ll paypal you now 🙂
