“Greetings, Brownie parents! We have a very exciting opportunity for this Wednesday’s meeting! Dr. (my good friend) has arranged a tour for us at Atrium Animal Hospital! The all-female staff is very excited about having us come visit. We’ll have a tour of the hospital, including some interesting x-rays to look at. The hospital is very into alternative medicine, so we may have the opportunity to see a dog having acupuncture or possibly using an underwater treadmill!
We will not see any animals having surgery, but because animals are recovering in the afternoon waiting to be picked up by their owners, there may be some which are hooked to IVs as they regain their strength and get ready to go home.
After our tour, we’ll go upstairs to the staff conference room, where the clinic owner, Dr. Kim Hombs, will talk to us about veterinary medicine, being a vet, and will and answer any questions we may have. We’ll also have a snack provided by the hospital staff. After the tour, our girls will get a special iron-on “vet tour” fun patch.”
I don’t know about you, but I would have loved this as a kid. I’m thinking this’ll be a fun and memorable time for Emily’s troop!
