Spanish language help?

My daughter’s school webpage has provided a link to their school material list. Unfortunately, it looks like they neglected to actually make the link to the English language list active. All they have available online is the Spanish list. I do speak Spanish, but there are few things I’m mystified on. Help?

Here’s the document, followed by what I think things might be.

Lista de materiales para Tercer Grado

Estos son los materiales que cada estudiante de tercer grado debe entregar a la maestra/o durante la primera semana de escuela.
These are the materials that each student in third grade should have to give their teacher during the first week of school

Tijeras / scissors
Crayones de cera / wax crayons
3 cuadernos (NO libreta de 3 anillos) / 3 non-three-ring notebooks
2 cajas grades de Kleenex / 2 containers Kleenex?
2 paquetes de toallas húmedas para bebe / 2 baby wipe packages
1 paquete de hojas sueltas para cuaderno / 1 package loose-leaf notebook paper
1 paquete de lápices #2 / 1 package #2 pencils
1 caja de bolsas plásticas zip lock / 1 package zip-lock bags
Borradores / ?
4 carpetas de diferente color con sobre adentro (pocket folders) / 4 pocketed folders in different colors
1 botella de jabón liquido para lavarse las manos anti-bacterial / 1 bottle hand sanitizer (like Purell)

Borradores? I’ve never heard this word before. It’s coming up as “rough draft” via web translation. Is “three non-3-ring notebooks right? What would that be, spiral-bound? Help?

    I Googled “school supplies borradores” and came up with several school districts’ lists that had both English and Spanish translations. Looks like borradores are erasers. Some made distinctions of pencil top erasers and others didn’t, though some also made a distinction of the big pink erasers.

    I was surprised that my high school Spanish got me through most of that list. ::G:: It’s been a few years since I’ve used it.

Some made distinctions of pencil top erasers and others didn’t, though some also made a distinction of the big pink erasers.

    I was surprised that my high school Spanish got me through most of that list. ::G:: It’s been a few years since I’ve used it.

    I think non-3-ring notebooks means either spiral bound, or those micro-perf ones. I think they’re trying to distinguish it from a binder filled with loose paper.

    It does specify 2 BIG boxes of Kleenex. But I’m sure you knew that, since you got the rest of it!

    I’ve always seen “borradores” used as blackboard-type erasers, but that might be because I only took Spanish in high school and we used pens rather than pencils (thus no need for erasers).

    I just realized that we have open house on Thursday – I guess I can ask the teacher then. It’s not enough for them to tell me what NOT to get.

    Y’all are so smart. I guess that’s why “rough draft” was coming up as a translation – the implication being that it’s something which isn’t final!

    I used to freelance at Canal de Noticias NBC (before they folded) but somehow, the word for “erasers” never came up. Darned electronic media!

    well, as far as kids go, I heard a news story about a little girl that drank purell and almost died because she was so drunk. Obviously it’s full of alcohol. I think people are going to read this and be like “bull crap, that didn’t happen!” but I didn’t read it on the internets, I actually heard it on the news on the radio.

    As far as paranoia, it’s the old what if I become immune to germ killers story, but I know I’m being ridiculous. That, however, does not stop me from being ridiculous.
