<----Never used breadmaker manufactured in 1995, purchased from a yard sale two weeks ago, complete with instructional video, docs, and original price tag for $185 (on sale from $260).

Awesome rosemary bread baked by my husband the excellent Italian cook, with fresh rosemary from our yard and extra garlic for more kick.—->

Best eight dollars we ever spent.

$8?!? I smell nasty divorce and that was a present from the ex in-laws. That’s my guess anyway.

Heh. When we asked about it, the woman sitting out front sent her kid in to ask her grandmother about it. I think it was a gift 13 years ago that never got used. One of the little rubber feet was missing from it, but we shoved something under it and now it’s quite stable. All the docs were stuffed inside and it was pretty obvious that just as the grandmother said, it had never actually been used.

We checked online after we got it home, and the ones made a month earlier had been recalled for safety, but this one was just fine. This is the third loaf we’ve made. The first was about what you’d expect from an $8 breadmaker. The second was pretty good and we used the remnants for bread crumbs for a crust on some baked tilapia (delicious!). The third was today, and it was to die for. TO DIE FOR. I have to go get another slice now.

    You’re right.

Her: “What about that stupid breadmaker your aunt got me? I suppose you’ll try to take that, too!”
Him: “Your breadmaker is DEAD to me! It bakes loaves of HATE!”
