She had a “blem” bag that she was letting go for cheap. Cheap? Why, that’s exactly my price range! So I dropped her a line and some cash – slightly more than she asked for, because it really was worth more – and then sat by my mailbox with a catcher’s mitt.

Yesterday, I got a package from Canada, eh!
<img decoding="async" src="http://www.tvini.org/images/anatomyofaskirt/yarnpirate.jpg" / border="2">
Avast, matey! You’ll be handing over all yer yaarrrrrrrn!

It’s bigger than I thought! I could fit two five-pound cones in this thing, easy. I wouldn’t, mind you, but I could. As for the blemish, it’s tiny. Really, very tiny. It’s a speck of pink under the eyepatch, like maybe the yarn pirate didn’t take off all its eyeshadow from the night before. It’s a testament to <lj user=anatomyofaskirt>‘s high quality standards that she let this go for a third of the price, with full disclosure, when it really is pretty perfect.

<img decoding="async" src="http://www.tvini.org/images/anatomyofaskirt/anatomybarrettes.jpg" / border="2" align="right" hspace="5" >And she sent other goodies! My daughter, who kept saying “Is it for me? Is something for me?” got these cool barrettes, which remind me of my days as a kid roller skating at Kate’s Skate Palace. If she gets a job as a carhop in a drive-in diner, she’s set!

Plus the felt piece with the iconic squirrel and acorn above, and a deer pin. I don’t know for sure what she’s using to make these, but I’m going to guess that <lj user=anatomyofaskirt> can really rock that Gocco!

<img decoding="async" src="http://www.tvini.org/images/anatomyofaskirt/anatomycards.jpg" / border="2" hspace="5" align="left">
She also sent some blank cards with felt designs on them. Too cute!

These remind me of the felt animals and designs that my husband and I made for our daughter’s feltboard when she first got it, a few years ago. Picture below! I need to investigate a good glue method for these – I wouldn’t mind making more, but using fusible webbing on the first couple was a waste of time. I think we finally went with Elmer’s school glue. If you’re a crafty type, I’m open to tips.
<img decoding="async" src="http://www.tvini.org/images/misc/feltanimals.jpg" / border="2">

So, in a nutshell, thanks, Erin. Your stuff is fabulous, as always. I’m very thrilled with what I’ve got and can’t wait to show it off to everybody I know!

[1
