And so, I&#8217;m feeling very good because one of my friends, who deserves only nice and kind and wonderful things in her life, received a care package and enjoyed  it.<\/p>\n<p><lj user=angel_fly> has had a little bit of a rough patch lately, so I wanted to do something nice for her.  After ascertaining from her own journal, and also from last week&#8217;s fabulous conversation about musicals, that she did not own <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0000C23HY\/qid=1140612780\/sr=1-2\/ref=sr_1_2\/102-7631636-3460149?s=dvd&#038;v=glance&#038;n=130\">Oklahoma with Hugh Jackman<\/a>, I knew she really needed to have it.<\/p>\n<p>But hey, you know me.  I gotta go over the top.<\/p>\n<p>So last week I <a href=\"http:\/\/community.livejournal.com\/knitswap\/183134.html\">swapped some sock yarn<\/a> for a DVD of Oklahoma for her and Lawrence of Arabia for me.  Best kind of care package: cheap!  Add in some goodies from LUSH, some chocolate, and a note from Hugh saying how much he enjoyed their wonderful time together.  Carefully avoid mention of Hot Monkey Sex because her kids might read it.<\/p>\n<p>Add in a photoshopped pic&#8230;<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tvini.org\/images\/AngelJackman2smaller.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n&#8230;and voila!  Girly goodness!<\/p>\n<p><lj user=angel_fly>, I know you&#8217;re a trouper and you&#8217;re really doing okay, but when you have those moments we all have where we feel a little down, I just want you to know that you have people who love you and are thinking of you.<\/p>\n<p>Also, if you get tired of Hugh, send his phone number my way, okay?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The best kind of lift you can get is the lift from doing something fun that you know will make someone else&#8217;s day a little brighter.
