It only needed three more rows and some fringe.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvini.org\/images\/giotto1.jpg\">Here it is.<\/a>  It&#8217;s long and funky; it hangs down to my knees.  Unfortunately, the pic doesn&#8217;t show the sheen of the ribbon yarn.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvini.org\/images\/giotto2.jpg\">This pic shows the sheen<\/a>, but a little too much.  The yarn is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kaleidoscopeyarns.com\/colinette-giotto-cotton-rayon-blend-ribbon-bulky-weight-yarn.html\">Colinette Giotto,<\/a> which is matte on one half along the length and shiny on the other half.  Picture it as being almost as shiny as picture two.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kaleidoscopeyarns.com\/giotto-132.html\">Here&#8217;s a closeup to better show the structure.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This is a nice handpainted yarn, and rather expensive.  I knew I wanted to try knitting with it because it looks so nice on the skein.  A nice open scarf seemed ideal.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, when I was mostly done, it just confirmed what I already knew &#8211; I prefer to work with wool and other animal fibers.
