{"id":290,"date":"2004-04-28T11:23:00","date_gmt":"2004-04-28T15:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kissmyknits.com\/?p=290"},"modified":"2004-04-28T11:23:00","modified_gmt":"2004-04-28T15:23:00","slug":"operation-yarn-diet-has-failed-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kissmyknits.com\/?p=290","title":{"rendered":"Operation Yarn Diet has failed."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I went into the yarn store to get a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kaleidoscopeyarns.com\/susan-bates-knit-row-counter.html\">row counter<\/a>, since I keep losing mine (this makes three, thank goodness they&#8217;re cheap) and I made the mistake of browsing the discount bin.<\/p>\n<p>They had two balls of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.straw.com\/cpy\/deco-ribb-samples.html\">Crystal Palace Deco-Ribbon<\/a> in color 117, blue and white on sale for 20% off.<\/p>\n<p>I could probably have resisted if I didn&#8217;t already know about a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.straw.com\/cpy\/patterns\/deco_knit_bag.htm\">handbag pattern<\/a> that called for exactly two balls of Deco-Ribbon.  So then I was able to visualize exactly what I could make with it (assuming I didn&#8217;t go the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.straw.com\/cpy\/patterns\/splash-decoscrf1.html\">scarf route<\/a> and pair it with something <a href=\"http:\/\/www.straw.com\/cpy\/patterns\/deco_loopy_bags.htm\">flashy<\/a>).  Next thing you know, I&#8217;m at the counter being rung up.<\/p>\n<p>Moral of the story:  If you&#8217;re a yarn addict, just don&#8217;t go into the yarn store, idjit!
