It&#8217;s very saturated and darker than it appears in this picture.<\/p>\n<p>For reasons I cannot explain I am calling it <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/H.M.S._Pinafore\" target=\"blank\">HMS Pinafore.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m really pleased with how it turned out.  In my opinion, it&#8217;s the best blue I&#8217;ve done.  There was a lot left over in the dye pot, so I decided to use it up, and this was the result:<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/93468786@N00\/4505806545\/\" title=\"bluebrown by emisanboo, on Flickr\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4057\/4505806545_17bf69bca9.jpg\" height=\"400\" alt=\"bluebrown\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"5\"\/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>It was meant to be a blue and brown combo, although I knew the brown would have purple overtones.  However, it was about 10pm when I got going on this, and after I added the brown I got very tired and decided to turn off the heat and let it marinate overnight.  By the time I got up the next day, the brown was darker than I&#8217;d planned.  And looking at the skein as a whole, it&#8217;s definitely not going to make two matching socks.  It&#8217;s nowhere near evenly distributed across the skein.  However, it&#8217;s still interesting and I certainly learned from the experience.  Main lesson:  don&#8217;t let a yarn that should go for an hour just stew overnight.
