Today I&#8217;m knitting yours, <lj user=haldira>, for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geekstravaganza.com\/\" target=\"blank\">Geekstravaganza.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tvini.org\/images\/knittingmisc\/socks\/Vinnland\/Vinnlandtoe.jpg\" target=\"blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tvini.org\/images\/knittingmisc\/socks\/Vinnland\/Vinnlandtoe-thumb.jpg\" hspace=\"5\" vspace=\"5\" align=\"right\"><\/a>I ripped out the Pomatomus and started up <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theanticraft.com\/archive\/beltane07\/vinnland.htm\" target=\"blank\">Vinnland.<\/a>  <a href=\"http:\/\/turtlegirl76.com\" target=\"blank\">Turtlegirl76<\/a> recommended a pattern from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.interweave.com\/knit\/books\/Vintage_Socks\/\" target=\"blank\">Knitting Vintage Socks<\/a>, and it did have a stitch pattern very similar to Pomatomus, but it had the disadvantage of being in a book which cost $21.95.  I put it on my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/registry\/wishlist\/1R4ICJ1DTL9VO\/\" target=\"blank\">Amazon Wish List<\/a> since Christmas isn&#8217;t that far off, and went with a free pattern instead.  I actually really like the way this looks in this yarn!<\/p>\n<p>While figuring out the math for my father&#8217;s Charlie Brown sweater stripe, I realized I&#8217;d lost the swatch I&#8217;d made several months ago.  D&#8217;oh!  So the next non-Jayne project will be a 4&#215;4&#8243; yellow rectangle.  Hold me back.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ponk.livejournal.com\/\" class=\"lj-user\">ponk<\/a> is using wearwithstyle in a design project for university.  <a href=\"http:\/\/ponk.livejournal.com\/157967.html\" target=\"blank\">I really like what he&#8217;s done.<\/a>  The color schemes match my personal preferences more closely than the admittedly kicky and fun but very bright tones that <lj user=houseofdanie> designed when we just had to get something up there because orders were coming in and we needed a site, already.<\/p>\n<p>On an unrelated note, if anyone hears of a product which can be used to zap sleep directly into your brain, please let me know.<br \/>\n<br clear=all><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mo&#8217; Jaynes and Jayne kits.
