Aaaanywho, I was a little worried I’d blocked it too hard, but it seems to have turned out all right. It did give it some much-needed length.<\/p>\n Pattern: Branching Out<\/a> from Knitty.com The chart was easy to read. I like to finish an entire set of repeats before putting a project down, just so I always remember where I am instantly when I pick it up without having to look, and the repeats were short enough to accommodate that little habit of mine. For blocking, I used my standard method with scarves, running a length of cotton through the edge stitches and pinning it by that instead of the stitches themselves. It helps avoid points where the pins were.<\/p>\n All in all, I’m very pleased with how this turned out. Last night, I finally blocked Branching Out.<\/a> Then I settled back for a lovely meal my husband had whipped up, butterflied chicken breasts stuffed with fontina cheese and prosciutto, covered in a lemon butter mushroom sauce, with a side of sauteed zucchini and yellow squash and some brown rice. Readers, if you’re still single, heed my advice: marry a man who can cook.<\/i><\/b> It’s the best.<\/p>\n
