Knitting to the rescue!

I just got a call from my sister-in-law asking if I had any scarves knitted up for sale. Her relief was palpable when I told her I did. Hurrah for last-minute handmade gifts! In fact, she decided to go with one that’s not on the site. It’s classy and gorgeous, I just never got around to photographing it properly. It’s fuzzy and incredibly soft – they recommend this yarn for chemo caps it’s so soft – but it’s also done in “mistake rib” so it’s got some texture to it when you feel it.

My sister-in-law is purchasing the scarf, made from Berroco Chinchilla Bulky with a Glace fringe, for the incredibly low price of $35. And I’m throwing in shipping. I didn’t want to just give it to her, because then it’s not really her gift to whomever. But it’s Christmas, I’m feelin’ the spirit, so ho ho ho. 🙂

The scarf.

A closeup.

And now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside. 🙂

I’ve knit with that yarn, and I think she got a bargain! It’s lovely and soft (I use it for chemo caps), but what a pain if you make a mistake. Of course, it hids the mistakes nicely, but still… What a pretty and luxurious scarf!

Yeah, same here. I knew it was going to be really lush, but about a third of the way in, I was cursing. On the up side, I decided not to bother with weaving in ends, but just to tie some damn knots. You can’t even tell.
