The baby was released from the NICU yesterday, and is now at home with Mom and Dad. The first set of tests is back normal, and the releasing pediatrician didn’t comment on anything out of the ordinary, and said he wouldn’t have thought anything about it if the parents hadn’t mentioned it. They won’t get final test results back for about a week, but we’re all keeping our fingers crossed. Right now the important thing is that mother, father, and baby are all at home and doing well.

That’s wonderful news, truly. Please let them know that they should not hesitate to consider contacting the hospital’s patient advocate and/or the head of the OB department with what happened.
My prayers are with them and their healthy new baby. 🙂
