dentist

You may remember Em’s tooth pain from Friday night. Em went to the dentist today. Turns out that cavity she had already had filled extended down so far that it had created an infection under her tooth. We’re continuing with the amoxicillin, which the dentist estimates has a 50/50 chance of knocking the infection out.

If the amoxicillin doesn’t get it, the next course of action will be a root canal.

Everybody keep your fingers crossed that the amoxicillin does the trick.

Awww poor Emily! I’m feeling her pain! I hope the amoxicilin works so that a root canal won’t take place. I bet Emily wouldn’t like to be unconscious for THAT! Kids take invasive surgery harder than adults (though you couldn’t tell by the way some ADULTS act when at the dentists…lol).

I’m telling the Gods & Goddesses that they have to let Emily be. I killed some grapes and burned a ham at the stake in offering (actually smells quite good together, mmmmmmmm, oh yeah, it’s for the GODS..not me…heh heh heh..okay maybe ONE little piece..sorry Emily but this ham..mmmmmm..oh wow, grapes!!)

Thank god for modern medical techniques and antibiotics. Can you imagine how Emily’s tooth problem would have played out in the olden days? Actually, I’m sure you DON’T want to imagine.

When these sorts of things happen, I ALWAYS think of that! As bad as these things are, it could have been so much worse. These are amazing times we live in!
