It’s a cool, overcast morning. Moments ago, I picked up my laundry basket to hang the clothes out to dry. As I came through the back door, a large deer with a full rack went slowly bounding out of our fenced back yard to the edge of the woods and turned to casually look at me.
Now that’s the way to start the day.
nifty! We see hoofprints all the time while walking by the creek, but we almost never see a deer in action.

I didn’t see it, but my husband says he saw scat not ten feet from our door a few days ago. I’m sure they’ll be knocking on the door and asking to borrow a cup of oats any day now.
