Didn’t go to the movies…

…brought the movies to me.

I suddenly got a craving to see one of my favorite movies of all time, The Lion in Winter. I figured I should actually own it. What luck – Borders had a copy for $15. Emily didn’t go to occupational therapy today because she was visiting her grandparents, so that’s Jayne hat money just burnin’ a hole in my pocket!

So I didn’t go to the movies. I stayed in and watched O’Toole and Hepburn, ate grocery store sushi, and boxed up Jayne hats. Yay!

You know that I know that he knows…we’re a very knowledgable family!

I came this close to picking up Becket too. But Borders had it for $25, and I happened to see it at Target earlier for $17. I’ll wait!

    I love this movie.

Heh. Secretly, inside myself, when someone cuts me off in traffic or a shopclerk is unkind, I sometimes shout, “I could peel you like a pear and God himself would call it justice!”

It always makes me feel better.

Pardon my French, but the new hat looks like ass. The bulky yarn is too thick for a three-stranded fair isle pattern in the round. It would work fine in a sport weight, but it’s no good in this yarn. I can’t even bring myself to post pics. I’m ripping it out. Live and learn.

ugh. that sucks, but you had an idea it would happen. Sport weight? That means you can’t even use the worsted LP. SUCKS!!!

Wonderful movie. Buy them at Borders very seldom, though, their markups are ABSURD. 5-10 dollars higher than average retail price; I guess they do it because they can’t get away with it on the books. Yes, I worked there. Every employee I ever worked with would tell people to go to Best Buy for flicks.

But that aside, I adore that movie.

There’s a tiny little bar of green ginger-lime soap in my bathroom right now, and I seem to recall that the little plastic ziploc bag it came in was from “fun fairie girl soap” or some variation thereof, and it had a little fairie on it who reminded me of your Tinkerbell icon. I suddenly put two and two together and thought, “hmmm…”

Favorite quote is definitely “I could peel you like a pear and God himself would call it justice!” I hoot every time.

Except, of course, that you’re not funfairiegirl. Duh, ignore me.

Yeah, but I looked around. It wasn’t available at Best Buy, Target, or anywhere else in town. What’s this world coming to? Kinda had me by the short hairs. On the up side, I do get regular coupons, so that helps.
