It’s definitely not purple and fuzzy!

Manly hatHere it is, The Manly Hat!

I had to go out of town this weekend, so I was able to finish this up since I couldn’t log into DR. The hubby likes it, and it does match his VW convertible. Since he’s paying for so much of this yarn, I was glad to have a project that he could use. Easily the most practical thing I’ve knitted. I do enjoy knitting for others.

And now, I go on a yarn diet. No more yarn shops until at least March. This shouldn’t be a problem, since I’ve got so much stacked up.

Of course, I do need a few more skeins of the K1C2 Souffle in Razzleberry for the Chickami that I’ll be making after I use up the rest of my stash. Summer’s coming, you know.

Okay, I might be an addict.

You know the beauty of it? Included in the pattern is a version with slightly wider straps, so that those of us who are more… er… womanly can still wear a bra with it. Also, they have a non-shaped version that doesn’t hug the waist so much. I think that’s what I’m gonna make. Let’s face it, giving birth to a 9lb 4 oz baby didn’t exactly leave me with a Charlie’s Angels figure. 🙂

Argh, there is nothing worse than finding a really cute top (that’s usually on sale, too!), and then noticing it has those itty bitty spaghetti straps. There’s just no way I can coax my bra strap to fit under those.

I definitely can’t wait to see a picture of the finished product. Will you be modeling any of your designs at SimuCon?
