Okay, so one of the yarns that Tessima sent me in her care package is Mosaic FX. It’s really cool-looking, and would definitely make a dressy, glitzy scarf.

But it’s so slippery! I swear to you, knitting it by itself it is exactly like knitting baby snakes. Live, wriggling baby snakes that will crawl off of the end of your needle if you let them. And heaven help you if you try to re-wind it. Damn snake yarn! This is Tessima’s revenge for… something… that I must have done that I don’t remember. Whatever it is, I’m sorry! Take back the snakes!

    God, Tvini makes me want to learn how to knit.

    That had me laughing. It must have been an interesting/frustrating experience to knit snakes together. 😀

    But it’s so pretty!

    My reaction was “That’s a yarn??” It’s kinda cool. Except for the battling demonic yarn snakes part.

    It’s so pretty! I took a closer look at it just now and wondered, aside from the slippery snake thing, how you avoid sticking your needles between the “tracks”. Is that tricky business?

    Ah, ribbon styles.

    I’m going to avoid those like the feckin’ plague for a while. Although I can’t seem to stay away from the fun furs.

    You just have to take it slow. This definitely isn’t a yarn I can simultaneously knit and look around the room and people-watch. I’m not giving up on it!
