Something new every day.

February 1st, 2005 Leave a comment Go to comments

I’ve seen a lot of interesting (and I mean that in a good way!) designs in the past eight years doing weddings for DR, but I swear, there’s still something new every day.

Today’s new thing: A chastity belt. It wasn’t called that, but that’s so what it was.

I love our players, they’re so creative. 😉

At first I went…Oooh! Creativity is cool.

But then I thought about it, see… now I don’t like that!

Chastity belts speak of distrust! The wedding’s DOOOMED DOOOOooooooooooooomed!!

    *grin*

I’d have to look again to see.

I can tell you this, there’ll be a “no” involved.

now that’s a pity, I know someone who basically created the same thing in their wedding…course they probaly worded it a bit better. Though I DO recall there being a key and a lock involved.

And that’s the beauty of it. A “no” can still turn into a “yes” if the person can cite precedent, make a good argument, and I get several other GMs who say “Tvini, yer being a hardass.” It’s a give and take process Right now though, as the item is worded… I’m reeeeeally thinking “no.”

Nope. Having done it before is not a guarantee that we’ll do it again. The circumstances may be different, the judgement of the individual GM may be different, etc. It helps to have something to look at, and to be able to talk to the GM who passed them and pick their brain to see where they were coming from, but it’s definitely not a sure thing that we’d do it again.

Just say no to anything Tessima did. She was a wacky one, that Tessima.

With all the weird things *I’ve* seen I’m really surprised this is the very first time a chastity belt’s made an appearance.

I’d let that one through QC on general principle, depending on how it was worded.

    Seriously. 🙂

And I’m also surprised there hasn’t been a chastity belt request before now.
